The quiet moments are the worst. Minutes, hours spent gazing out an open window, deep in thought. There was a time when I always knew a call would come. A text, maybe, to disrupt my revelry right when I was on the brink of a definitive discovery. Infuriating at times, welcome at others, I knew it would come and I waited for it. A skipped heartbeat. Anticipation. A need satisfied.
Now all that remains is the wretched sting of knowing that there is no one who is obligated to care what I am doing this quiet, quiet, unending moment.

Oh no!
I hope this isn't about you know who and you? Please say it isn't.
But if it is ... When the text doesn't come, sometimes, it helps to send one along.
Hugs
It happens, i mean, we all get those moments. Sometimes welcomed, sometimes not. For me in most cases, my thots lead me, most times to not so great places.
You could always listen to a good music or meditate on God, knowing that He alone will never let go of u.
I know exactly what you mean. And does it not feel like that adds some depressing grey to the day?
yes! until after that first glass of wine, at least :-)
No one is ever obligated, except maybe parents. It is because the others are not obligated to care but do nonetheless that make them, and you feel, special.
Did something go missing, a beautiful post or two (or perhaps my memory), I mean?
yeah, i had to take down a couple of posts. i'm gonna have to abandon this blog soon, start another one.
A pity, but not surprising. Blogs can be like the love tattoo you wished you never got.
Why not just make this one open to invited readers only?
i don't want a blog that exclusive. i just need the freedom of not knowing which of my friends and family are reading the damn thing!
Understood. Please leave a breadcrumb trail, even if it is a meagre one.
